The Origin

The Tools That Existed Were Built For Sales Teams, Not Compliance Workflows.

Every regulated industry faces the same document generation reality. A mandated form needs to be populated, reviewed by compliance, versioned for audit, and updated without triggering an IT project every time a regulation changes. That problem is not new. The adequate solution did not exist.

The tools capable enough had no governance layer. The tools with governance were priced for enterprise procurement cycles and required months of implementation. Everything else asked you to rebuild a government form inside a proprietary editor which defeats the purpose entirely.

We came from inside regulated industries. We knew the problem precisely. In early 2026 we built Templx from scratch Word-native authoring, configurable approval workbench, platform-agnostic REST API. The full platform was production-ready in eight weeks. That speed came from knowing exactly what to build and having no legacy constraints to work around.

The roadmap extends to full document lifecycle management. Generated documents stored, indexed by the metadata that produced them, and retrievable on demand with a complete record of the template version responsible. Not generic document management the governed compliance archive that regulated organisations are expected to maintain and rarely have.
