Compliance leads and legal teams carry a specific responsibility in regulated document generation: confirming that the right form was in use, that it was reviewed before it went live, and that there is a record to prove it. Templx gives you a configurable approval workflow that fits your review process, and an audit trail that produces that record automatically no additional documentation step required from you.
In regulated industries, compliance and legal teams are the last line before a mandated form reaches a customer. The question a regulator asks after something goes wrong is always the same: was the right version of this form in use, and who approved it?
In most organisations, answering that question requires searching through email threads, shared drives, and version naming conventions that only one person understands. The underlying problem is that most document generation processes have no formal record of the approval a form is updated, circulated, revised, and pushed live, but no system records that you specifically approved version X from a specific date.
In Templx, no template can generate a single document without completing an approval workflow. You configure that workflow to match your actual review process who reviews, in what order, with what escalation rules if someone does not respond within a defined window. When a template change is submitted, it enters the queue and waits.
When you approve a template, your action is recorded with a timestamp, your identity, and the exact version number. When the full workflow completes, the template publishes as the new active version. The generation API will only serve the current approved version there is no override at the API level. An unapproved version cannot reach a customer.
We will walk through the approval workflow with your review process and regulatory context in mind.
